September Six-Day National Park Tour

September 6-Day National Park Motorcycle Tour Starting in Boise, Idaho

Cost: Tour bike $2995, ADV bike $2695

Day One Boise to Victor, ID 345 miles

From Boise we will ride through Arco Idaho with a fuel and lunch stop. Passing Craters of the Moon National Monument gives an extraterrestrial sensation as we adventure from Aspen forests to the high desert of eastern Idaho. We finish our shakeout ride at the base of the Grand Teton range and next to the Snake River in Victor, ID.

Day Two Victor to Yellowstone National Park 150 miles + park

Traversing the south end of the Grand Teton range we stop for coffee and a photo in Jackson
WY. A stroll through town gets us motivated to roll into Grand Teton National Park and a few stops at the many lakes along the way. By afternoon we enter the south gate of Yellowstone National Park, excited to see more animals and some of the wonders of this landscape. An obligatory stop at Old Faithful sets us up for a final push to our accommodations for the evening.

Day Three Yellowstone to Helena 300 miles

As we continue towards the Silver Gate at the NE corner of Yellowstone NP, a stop to admire the massive herds of Bison is a morning highlight. Hopefully a bear, wolf, or other carnivore crosses our path as we head towards Beartooth Pass. A photo stop at nearly 11,000 feet and a jacket are common for motorcyclists as we check this off our bucket list of rides. A fuel stop and lunch in Red Lodge MT gives us our energy to ride from the mountains to the plains of south central Montana. We finish the day in the State Capitol with a quick tour of the Cathedral of St. Helena and toast our patron Saint Columbanus.

Day Four Helena to Glacier Park 260 miles

Riding from Helena to Browning we will be on the east side of the Rocky Mountains, enjoying the vastness of Montana farming.
A fuel and lunch stop prepares us to enter Glacier National Park from the east, immediately stopping for breath-taking views at St. Mary’s Lake. Going-to-the-sun Road provides lots of photo stops as we see Logan Pass and the best that Mother Nature has to offer. We finish the day on the shore of Flathead Lake, eager for an amazing dinner in Kalispell MT.

Day Five Kalispell to Orofino 292 miles

An easy morning start along the lake gets us loosened up an easy ride south towards Missoula and towering evergreen trees. Just when you thought the roads couldn't get better, we ride to Lolo MT for the entrance to HWY 12. Sweeping curves for 120 miles along the Lochsa, Selway, and Clearwater Rivers allows riders to settle in for another top ten motorcycle ride in the U.S. A stop at old growth cedar forests and an occasional dip in fresh water keeps us connected to the amazing environment we cherish. A riverside hotel in Orofino ID waits for our arrival, with a hot tub and beverage if we play our cards right

Day Six Orofino to Boise 250 miles

Our final day starts along the Clearwater River for a quick 20 miles of backtrack before hitting Hwy 13 through the Nez Perce National Forest. Tight corners and steep climbs carry us to Grangeville, then on to the Salmon River for a lunch stop in Riggins. As we leave the steep canyons of the main Salmon River, we follow the Payette River from McCall ID all the way to Boise for the perfect ending of our adventure.
